GRATIS Foundation CEO concludes five-day working visit across five regions

The Chief Executive Officer of GRATIS Foundation, Dr. Isaac Adaebsah, accompanied by the Deputy CEO, Nana Kwabena Adjei Anomafo, two General Managers, and the Technology Transfer Manager, has successfully concluded a five-day working visit to five regional and 20 district centres of the Foundation.

The five-day working visit which is part of a nationwide operational review, aims to engage directly with staff across the regions, assess the current state of equipment and infrastructure, and gather first-hand information to make informed recommendations to the sector minister.

The working tour also forms part of GRATIS Foundation’s renewed commitment to supporting H.E. President John Dramani Mahama’s vision of transforming Ghana from a primary agriculture economy into a robust secondary agriculture-driven economy.

As a strategic player in this national agenda, the Foundation is central to delivering innovative technical solutions to enhance agro-industrial productivity and job creation.

During the visits, staff expressed their appreciation for the government’s recognition of GRATIS Foundation’s critical role in national development.

However, a major concern raised was the issue of understaffing across almost all centres, which they noted is hindering performance and productivity.

The CEO reassured staff of the strong support from the President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the Honourable Minister for the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, and the GRATIS leadership to address these concerns.

According to him, steps are being taken to ensure the Foundation is adequately resourced to deliver on its core mandate.

He further disclosed that the outcomes of this phase-one tour will be compiled into a detailed report with recommendations to guide strategic interventions and inform policy decisions at the ministerial level.

GRATIS Foundation remains committed to driving industrial innovation, youth skills development, and sustainable economic transformation across Ghana.
